Town of Camillus Parks & Recreation Programs

Town of Camillus Parks & Recreation Programs offers athletic programs in at least 14 different categories that run in all seasons and for many age groups. The programs take place across a system of 12 parks that include athletic facilities, playgrounds, picnic areas and shelters, walk, hike and bike trails, open green space, an Erie Canal beach with swimming, a splash pad, and various programs and events. In addition to athletic options, the department provides wellness and lifestyle programs focused on personal health and interest, along with a Senior Center and a Youth Center.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm; pavilion rentals are accepted by phone at 315-487-3600, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:15 pm

The department is led by Director of Parks & Recreation Eric A. Bacon, with recreation staff members Sara Young and Savannah Kraus. Additional staff include Senior Center Coordinator Teresa Roth, Erie Canal Park Coordinator Lisa Wiles, Town Shop staff Debra Ancillotti and Harrison Rein, and park staff Don Klackzo, Jeremy Cantello, Matthew Crim, and Paul Barbaglia. The organization notes that all parks are carry in/carry out for trash. It partners with a wide array of organizations so that services can be efficiently and economically provided to the community and is currently accepting nominations for the Camillus/WG Hall of Fame.
