About
Amadeus Conservatory of Music offers private lessons with professional musicians, including a Prelude program that is a low-cost private lesson program for beginners of all ages or adults returning to music. The program includes individual instruction in voice, piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, bass, harp, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, oboe, flute, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, and drums, as well as electric and acoustic guitar, electric bass, and keyboard. Students can also take part in group instrumental and voice classes, semi-private and small group lessons for violin, keyboard, guitar, drums, and voice, a Classical program with private lessons, ensembles, and theory classes, and a Contemporary program with instruction in rock, funk, blues, fusion, and jazz, including a Rock Workshop that explores music by artists such as James Brown, the Who, and Stevie Wonder.
The Early Childhood program includes Mini Music Makers, a class that introduces music and rhythm to babies through nursery rhymes set to music, both vocal and instrumental, using props such as ribbons, a parachute, bubbles, soft toys, drums, and games involving bouncing, wiggles and tickling, peek-a-boos, and finishing with a calming lullaby. In the Early Childhood program, 3 to 5 year olds learn to play small violins, keyboards, bongos, recorders, xylophones, and ukuleles, and explore many instruments. The program also offers song writing and production.

Deborah Molodofsky is the Founder and Director of the Amadeus Conservatory of Music & Theater. She received a Bachelor of Music, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan School of Music, where she studied with Paul Makanowitsky, the assistant of Ivan Galamian. She received a Master of Arts in English, Magna Cum Laude, plus PhD (ABD) from Wayne State University, where she double majored in music and English and studied with Mischa Mischakoff, former concertmaster of the NBC Symphony. Her other teachers include Piotr Milewski, assistant to Dorothy Delay at the Juilliard School, and she has studied chamber music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She was invited to join the first violin section of the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra, has concertized in France, Italy, and Austria, and has recorded with Decca. She has been a member of the Joachim Trio, The Debussy Quartet, Toledo Symphony, Toledo Symphony String Quartet, Michigan Opera Theater, Michigan Chamber Orchestra, Florida West Coast Symphony, Meadow Brook Music Festival, Meadowmount, and The International Summer Academy Orchestra, and has participated in the Aspen Music Festival.
According to its mission statement, Amadeus Conservatory of Music offers a program of private lessons, ensembles, and theory classes and states that its teachers are dedicated to helping children advance and excel in their chosen instrument and to imbue them with a joyful connection to music that comes from playing classical music, and that it wants every student to experience the happiness that comes from learning to play an instrument or sing well.
