About
Time For You Playcare offers after-school care, morning care, Kindergarten wrap around, extra care, and summer camp. Children take part in dramatic play, music, art exploration, group activities, group games, large motor play, exercising, and theme-based projects. Activities also include a “build a boat that floats” science experiment, an incubation unit that educates about the life cycle of a chicken, reading nutritional books, cooking, on-site community service such as making holiday cards for veterans and seniors, and homework support.

The program states a mission of providing families with a safe, fun and educational environment that emphasizes values, health and community, with a goal of developing every child in five areas: Building Creativity, Communication, Nutrition and Exercise, Cognitive Learning, and Community Participation. Time For You Playcare is described as a school-aged program that offers after school care, morning care, full day care for school breaks and holidays, and summer camp.
The leadership team includes Miss Dana (Co-Director), Mrs. D. (Co-Director), Miss Kelly (After School Teacher), Miss Christina (After School Teacher/Summer Camp Teacher), Miss Emma (After School Teacher/Summer Camp Teacher), Miss Patti (After School Teacher/Summer Camp Teacher), Miss Paige (After School Assistant Teacher), Miss Susan (After School Substitute Teacher), and Miss Mikala (After School Assistant Teacher). Dana graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 2012 with a B.S. in Sociology and a minor in Educational Psychology. Donna has 41 years of experience in the child care service industry, including 21 years at St. Coleman’s Daycare Center in Watervliet, NY, and work as an after school care assistant director from 2010 through 2016. Kelly has a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Oswego. Miss Christina is currently studying online for her degree in Early Childhood Education. Emma is enrolled at St John Fisher College, dual majoring in Inclusive Childhood Education Birth–6th grade with a concentration in psychology. Patti has more than 15 years of childcare experience. Paige is a senior at Shenendehowa High School with plans to study Elementary Education at SUNY New Paltz. Susan graduated with a Business Degree from the College of New Hampshire and also works as an Elementary Classroom Aide at the Shenendehowa Central School District. Mikala is a senior at Shenendehowa High School with plans to study Elementary Education at SUNY Oneonta.
Donna has 41 years of experience in the child care service industry, Kelly and Patti both joined the Time For You team in 2018, Christina started working at Time For You Playcare in August 2019, and Emma has been part of the team for the past three years. The program includes on-site community service such as making holiday cards for veterans and seniors. Outside the program, Paige volunteers in the community through National Honor Society, and Mikala is involved in Shenendehowa’s Best Buddies program, where she builds relationships with children with special needs.
