theCoderSchool offers private and semi-private coaching, coding classes, and virtual learning that include Python, Scratch, robotics, and video game coding. The program runs as an after-school drop-off and virtual program for kids learning to code, using a core format with a typically 2:1 student-to-teacher ratio and personalized guidance from experienced Code Coaches. Students work with Code Coaches under a mentoring philosophy and can participate in a National Top App of the Month program for student-created apps, while also learning how AI works, how to use it responsibly, and how to think critically about the technology around them.

The program is led locally by Hansel and Wayne. theCoderSchool is the largest coding school in Silicon Valley and has additional locations around the country.
theCoderSchool is a longtime partner of the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) and is involved in encouraging innovation through coding across the country. Beginning in 2025–2026, it is scheduled to collaborate with CAC to run a national recognition program that identifies a small number of top applications from thousands of CAC submissions nationwide.
Parent testimonials describe customized curriculum for STEM concepts via coding, engaging online classes, and online camps where kids create and continue working on games between sessions, including specific feedback from parents in New Jersey, California, Georgia, and Connecticut.
