Tri-County YMCA of New York – Youth Programs (Dansville YMCA) offers a range of activities that include Virtual Y & Les Mills videos, group exercise classes, art programs and classes, youth programs, music programs and lessons, aquatics programs, water fitness classes, and access to a full fitness center. The program includes both fitness activities and creative options such as art and music, along with water-based classes.
• Schedule: Fitness hours run Monday through Thursday 6:00am–9:00pm, Friday 6:00am–8:00pm, and Saturday 7:00am–3:00pm from September through May, with Sunday hours 10:00am–3:00pm; from June through August, fitness hours run Monday through Thursday 6:00am–9:00pm, Friday 6:00am–8:00pm, Saturday 7:00am–3:00pm, and Sunday is closed. Childwatch hours are Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm–8:00pm and Saturday 10:00am–12:00pm.
Founded in 1881 as the Hornell Area Family YMCA, the organization expanded its reach by establishing a presence in Dansville, New York, in 2021. In 2024, the association adopted the name Tri-County YMCA of NY and began operations in Bath, New York. The mission of the Tri-County YMCA of New York is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The organization describes itself as a cause for strengthening the community, more than just a gym or a pool, with a focus on developing the potential of kids, improving individual health and well-being, and giving back and supporting neighbors. It operates a non-facility branch called a “Y Without Walls” in Bath, New York, and is dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Tri-County YMCA of New York has partnered with the local school district in Bath, New York, to bring YMCA programs directly to families and youth in that area. When entering the pool, participants are instructed to walk between the high school and the primary school toward the ramped entrance.
