About
East Greenbush Summer Camp offers full-day and half-day camp options that follow weekly themes and age-appropriate stations. All activities and stations are based on these themes and are set up to build physical, emotional, academic, and social skills.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Camp hours are 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with optional half-day programs from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12 p.m.–3 p.m., and after-care available from 3 p.m.–5 p.m. for an additional fee.
Day camp staff are CPR, AED, and First Aid certified and complete extensive safety training. The East Greenbush Town Camp is required to have a permit to operate from the New York State Health Department and is inspected twice each year by the Rensselaer County Health Department, following all New York State Health Department regulations and guidelines. The Rensselaer County Department for Youth monitors the Town of East Greenbush Camp, which is partially funded by the New York State Office of Children’s and Family Services and the Rensselaer County Department for Youth. Camp is open to children ages 5–15, and children must have completed kindergarten to enroll. Junior Camp is for children entering grades 1–5, and Senior Camp is for children entering grades 6–9. The summer camp travels for field trips listed on the camp schedule; unless otherwise noted, these trips are included in the registration fee for full-day registrants, while half-day registrants pay additional trip fees. If a child attends camp on a field trip day, that child attends the trip, and half-day participants stay for the full day on field trip days. Current-year immunization records are required for all registrants each year. Bus transportation is available for campers who live within the Town of East Greenbush boundary lines. Campers bring a bagged lunch, snack, water bottle, change of clothes, and a towel each day, and lunch is not provided. No refunds are given after June 1.
