The club’s mission statement describes a focus on the ages between 8 and 12 as the “Golden Age of Learning,” emphasizing this period as a key developmental stage when players absorb knowledge and skills about the game. The mission states that the club wants players to experience and enjoy soccer as a game and that it provides educationally sound soccer environments to foster a lifelong love of the game and maximize developmental opportunities. The statement explains that these environments are intended to facilitate creativity, spontaneity, and experimentation, and notes that development can be limited when winning is placed ahead of development. It describes a belief that a player’s development is best served when short-term coaching goals such as winning are balanced with the long-term needs of the player, and that success at the senior level (18 and older) is greatly enhanced by mastering building blocks of soccer taught at the developmental stage. The mission highlights ball skills, enjoyment, and experimentation as keys to development and lists several points: that the game is the best teacher; that children should learn in environments sensitive to age and physical and emotional ability; that players have different learning styles and should be offered a variety of training experiences; and that competitive environments at the developmental stage should not be results-oriented but should encourage skill development and decision-making. It states that the emphasis should be on performance, not results, and that coaches should encourage ball skills, individual autonomy, and creativity as measures of growth and development. The mission also notes that games at the developmental stage must promote enjoyment, ball skills, and creativity, and that players are allowed to make mistakes at early stages, with lessons learned through trial and error described as critical to improvement. It concludes that risk taking should be encouraged, effort should be applauded, and a positive environment should be provided to support effective development and a lifelong passion for soccer.
The club also publicly thanks its soccer volunteers for their time, energy, and dedication, stating that their support makes it possible for players to learn, grow, and enjoy the game, and notes that the organization appreciates their efforts and could not operate without them. The program lists Goal Keeper Training (FREE Wednesday nights), GK Training (Free) U8+, and the role of Director of Parades and FUN as unique features.
