Rolling River Day Camp organizes campers into Lower Camp divisions that provide a nurturing, supportive environment where campers try new activities, build confidence, and develop independence at their own pace. Upper Camp divisions offer greater choice, leadership opportunities, and off-campus trips. The camp describes its environment as family-style with attentive leadership focused on each child’s individual needs. Its mission states that many pivotal moments begin at summer camp, and that every child’s camp experience is viewed as the start of “life’s voyage.” Rolling River Day Camp holds full American Camp Association accreditation, undergoes annual Nassau County Board of Health inspections, and is a member of the Long Island Camps and Private Schools Association.
