Kids World & Summer Enrichment Programs are part of the YWCA of Elmira & The Twin Tiers, which is the largest child care provider in Chemung County, offering care for children in pre-school through 6th grade. Kids World & Summer Enrichment Programs serve over 700 children daily in before- and after-school programs, as well as on holidays at multiple sites.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm
The YWCA of Elmira and the Twin Tiers has been serving the community for over 135 years, with the YWCA Elmira established in 1914. The first YWCA Elmira building was opened in 1914, the gym was added in 1925, and the current two-story building with a pool was built in 1950, with the first ADA pool lift installed in 1976. In 1989, the Latch Key Program was established serving the Elmira City School District, and in 2012 the YWCA celebrated 125 years with acknowledgments from state and local officials.
The organization’s leadership team includes Kelly Long (President), Kim Balok-Middaugh (Vice President), Meghan Rose (Treasurer), Laura Bennett (Secretary), Kristine Allen (CEO), Tonya Delige (Member), and Cortney Voorhees (Member). YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA of Elmira & The Twin Tiers provides services to individuals and families through child care, youth leadership, breast health, fitness, recreation, and social justice. One parent of a 9-year-old described Kids World by saying they would be lost without it and noted that their child looks forward to it every day and has shown better behavior and grades since starting in September.
Summer Enrichment 2026 is now full. Kids World registration for the 2026–2027 school year is open for enrollment.
