Hofstra Summer Camps offers a wide range of activities, including Advanced Computer Hardware Construction Trade Academy, Developing Apps for iOS and Android, Digital Music & Audio Technology, Esports, Introduction to Carpentry, JavaScript and Modern Web Development, Karate, Multi-Media Block Coding, Sports Performance, Ultimate Board Game Inventors, Woodworking Projects, and VGX: Fortnite Game Design. Campers can also take part in Adventures in Science, Crime Lab to Command Center, Career Exploration, Coding Masterclass, Cross Sensory Art, Design and Craft Lab, Flag Football (Featuring 3rd & Ten), Game Modding Remix, Gifted Camp, Interactive Art and Animation Zone, MedPathways: Careers in Medicine, LIHSA Junior Dance Academy, LIHSA Junior Musical Theatre Camp, Outdoor Exploration Sampler, Pickleball, and Water Adventure.
• Schedule: Camp hours are 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with 2026 sessions scheduled as Session 1: June 29–July 10, Session 2: July 13–July 24, Session 3: July 27–August 7, and Session 4: August 10–August 14, and camp is closed Friday, July 3.
Hofstra Summer Camps follows the mission statement “Pride in Every Step. Purpose in Every Summer. Every Hofstra camper learns more than a skill. They discover what it means to challenge themselves, support others, and grow with purpose.” Several programs are noted as new or updated for 2026, including Advanced Computer Hardware Construction Trade Academy, Developing Apps for iOS and Android, Digital Music & Audio Technology, Esports, Introduction to Carpentry, and JavaScript and Modern Web Development. Hofstra University is a nationally ranked private university, is the only university to have hosted three consecutive U.S. presidential debates in 2008, 2012, and 2016, and is one of three institutions in the NYC metro area with accredited schools of law, medicine, and engineering. Hofstra University is an EO/AA/ADA educator and employer and states that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, physical or mental disability, marital or veteran status in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Hofstra University states that it actively contributes to the civic and cultural life of Long Island through student volunteerism, faculty leadership, and engagement in public discourse, and it lists community partners such as Optimum, Stretch Lab, and 3rd & Ten Flag Football. The campus is described as a 240-acre designated arboretum, with thousands of blooming tulips each spring and more than 70 outdoor sculptures from influential 20th-century artists in the Hofstra University Museum of Art collection. For campers who need medication at camp, a Medication Request Form must be completed by the child’s physician and sent to the camp office ahead of time or brought with the medication, and all medication must be in the original container with a label that includes the camper’s name, dosage, and the prescriber’s name.
