Hofstra Summer Camps offers a wide range of activities, including sports such as field hockey, flag football, rec basketball, volleyball, tennis, baseball, soccer, softball, wrestling, cheerleading, dance, pickleball, and gaga ball. Campers can also take part in programs like cub camp, travel camp, outdoor exploration sampler, water adventure, adventure education, and counselor apprentice. Additional options include arts, cartooning, fashion design, science, robotics, computer engineering, coding masterclass, crime lab to command center career exploration, gifted camp, video game design, game modding remix, digital music and sound design, interactive art and animation zone, cross sensory art design and craft lab, MedPathways: Careers in Medicine, LIHSA Junior Dance Academy, LIHSA Junior Musical Theatre Camp, and Adventures in Science.

• Schedule: Camp operating hours are 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with four sessions running from June 29–July 10 (closed Friday, July 3), July 13–July 24, July 27–August 7, and August 10–August 14.

Hofstra Summer Camps uses a Camp Finder tool that allows families to filter options by grade and activity type. The program offers classic day camps, sports-focused camps, technology and game-building camps, precollegiate and career-focused camps, outdoor and travel camps, and arts-focused camps. A June Tour Day is available with RSVP, and families can also access a virtual campus tour. The stated mission is that every Hofstra camper learns more than a skill and discovers what it means to challenge themselves, support others, and grow with purpose. Hofstra University, which runs the camps, is a nationally ranked private university and is the only university to have hosted three consecutive U.S. presidential debates in 2008, 2012, and 2016, and is one of three institutions in the NYC metro area with accredited schools of law, medicine, and engineering.
