Primitive Pursuits offers Growing Wild for ages 3-5, Forest Village for ages 5-7, Forest Explorers for ages 6-8, Pathfinder camps for ages 8-10, Advanced Camps for ages 9-12, and Specialty Camps for ages 11-14. The program runs year-round nature immersion programs and day camps organized by age range, with drop-off and pick-up times listed for each camp.

About the provider
Primitive Pursuits is a non-profit 4-H program of Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County. Since 1998, its mission has been to steward the health of the community by fostering life-long relationships with the natural world through exceptional mentoring and nature education. It provides leadership and place-based wilderness skills education to toddlers, youth, teens, and adults throughout its geographical region, and each year hundreds of diverse youth from Tompkins County and beyond reconnect with the natural world through year-round nature immersion programs and mentorship from staff.
Tiered income-based pricing is used. Scholarships are available. Cancellation policies are detailed, including specific deposit amounts for summer day camp and weather-related cancellation rules.
