About
Muscoot Farm Programs include animal interactions and morning farm chores as part of their activities. The program takes place at Muscoot Farm, which is an interactive farm preserved as a park with historic buildings and is home to goats, sheep, cattle, pigs, horses, donkeys, and a wide variety of poultry animals. NO PETS are permitted as part of the program guidelines.
• Schedule: The Farm and Hiking Trails are open daily 10am–4pm; Farmers Market hours are Sundays 9:30am–2:30pm from May 10 to November 15, 2026.
Muscoot Farm was originally a gentleman's farm owned by the Hopkins family and was used as a summer estate and dairy farm from 1880 to 1924. The family continued the dairy business until 1967, when Westchester County acquired the property, and Muscoot officially opened its doors to the public in 1975. In 2016, Muscoot was re-named in memory of Alfred B. DelBello, who served as Westchester County Executive from 1974 to 1983. Today, Muscoot Farm provides an educative experience for visitors through historic buildings, livestock, public programming, and events year-round. Friends of Muscoot Farm is a non-profit organization run entirely on donations from the public that makes public programming and events year-round possible.
