Since 1989 the Center for Creative Education has been helping students “FIND THEIR POSSIBLE.” The mission of the Center for Creative Education is to enrich the social and cultural awareness of youth and the community through arts, wellness, and education. CCE has formally adopted Ubuntu as its guiding philosophy and value system, described as an African concept meaning “I am because we are.” CCE places a strong emphasis on having a healthy mind and a healthy body and on education as a path to a better life, and uses the arts to teach basic life skills such as persistence, teamwork, discipline, focus, and mastery.

CCE provides accessible, affordable, equitable, and innovative, high-quality programs with a special emphasis on serving low income, minority, and at-risk children and youth. The Center has a long standing policy of turning no child away due to the inability to pay, and 84% of current students receive scholarship assistance. Over 90% of CCE students have graduated from high school and continued on to pursue college degrees. The staff and board are very diverse and reflect the diversity of the student body, and CCE is committed to assisting young people in becoming the citizen leaders of tomorrow. CCE also offers outreach programs that can be brought to other locations.
