Colonie Youth Center Vacation Camps

Colonie Youth Center Childcare and Youth Programs includes activities such as the “Slam Dunk” Recreational Winter Basketball League and the Crossings 5K Challenge & Kids Runs. Some program hours run Monday–Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Certain activities take place at the Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center, which features two full-size gymnasiums, a suspended running track, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a modern aquatic complex. CYC serves more than 7000 members of all ages from Capital Region cities and towns.

Colonie Youth Center was started in 1965. The mission of Colonie Youth Center, Inc. is to provide programs and services to enhance the living experience of all people in the greater Capital Region. CYC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. The CYC Scholarship Fund assists lower income families with costs associated with before-school and after-school childcare. Stewart’s Shops has supported CYC through the Stewart’s Holiday Match program with a $3,000 donation to the CYC Scholarship Fund. Dunkin’ franchisee Serouse Sharifpour, with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, made a $3,000 donation to CYC. The “Slam Dunk” Recreational Winter Basketball League at the Ciccotti Center is sponsored in part by Nemer Volkswagen.
