Westchester Sandbox Theatre

Westchester Sandbox Theatre offers children’s theater classes, acting classes, musical theater programs, summer camps, and live productions. The program includes themed summer camps inspired by Broadway and popular movies, as well as fully staged productions with costumes, choreography, and professional direction. It operates year-round with shows, camps, and classes for young performers from kindergarten through high school.

The Westchester Sandbox Theatre was opened in November of 2008 and is owned and operated by Daniel Ferrante and Jason Summers. It offers performing opportunities for four age groups: JUNIORS (Grades K–3), KIDS (Grades 2–5), TWEENS (Grades 5–8), and TEENS (Grades 8–12). The mission of Westchester Sandbox Theatre is to embrace every child and teenager and help them to find their true potential not only as performers but as confident and expressive people as well. The program maintains a positive, comfortable, and constructive environment for children of all ages to grow as actors and as people. Westchester Sandbox Theatre provides education in the arts for all ages and has expanded its cast sizes across multiple age groups. It has been a Best of Westchester Winner in 2012, 2017, and 2020. Sandbox Theatre also partners with local schools to bring theater and arts programming directly into classrooms for kids and teens throughout Westchester County.
