Academic Explorers Child Care Centers

Academic Explorers Child Care Centers is a family-owned network of nurturing and educational child care centers. The program provides infant care, toddler and preschool programs, a pre-k class, and before- and after-school options. Each center uses The Creative Curriculum® and offers developmentally appropriate classrooms with experienced teachers.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–6:30pm

Academic Explorers operates four high-quality, licensed day cares and proudly serves approximately 300 families in Nassau County. The centers operate year-round with extended hours and offer the option for children to stay enrolled in before- and after-school programs. Curriculum implementation across all centers is overseen by a certified teacher licensed by New York State, and the program is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

Academic Explorers was founded in 2017 by Danielle Paige, an experienced early childhood educator, who partnered with her father, Rodney Paige, to expand child care services across Long Island. The program states that it is committed to partnering with families and the community on its mission to learn with, love, and lead children to higher education and a brighter future.

Parent feedback includes comments that staff are understanding of the needs of each individual child and that one child progressed from diapers to being potty trained and learned to count in English and Spanish and use sign language while attending. Another parent reports that the program supported their child in getting accustomed to sharing and interacting with other children.
