About
Camp Kennybrook is a traditional overnight summer camp that offers athletics, waterfront activities, outdoor adventure, creative arts, performing arts, and special programs. Campers can take part in private athletic lessons, trips out west for older campers, and a program called “Kennybrook Kindness,” where they learn about and practice community-wide kindness.
• Ages: 6–16 years old
• Schedule: Flexible 2-week, 3.5-week, and 7-week sessions
Camp Kennybrook is family owned, family run, and co-ed, with approximately 300 campers and 125 staff members each summer. Approximately 300 campers ranging from ages 6–16 attend each year, with over an 85% camper return rate. Campers came from 15 states and 12 countries last year. The camp operates as a 100% nut-free environment.
The staff is made up of long-term adult educators and college-age leaders, and many counselors are former Camp Kennybrook campers. The camp has dedicated over 55 years to giving children a summer camp experience that is described as being as unique as they are. The mission of Camp Kennybrook is summed up as “all for one,” with a focus on the individual needs, interests, and passions of each camper.
Parent and camper testimonials describe Camp Kennybrook as a place where campers make friends quickly, feel like part of a big family, and look forward to returning summer after summer. Several families note that their children consider it a “home away from home,” and some parents and children have been connected to the camp for more than a decade. Multiple testimonials mention the Landman family by name and describe them as creating a family feel and treating campers like family.
