About

Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle Youth Programs include access to the Mascaro gym for sports events and the new Remington facility for events, sports events, and other activities. The programs are part of a larger organization that offers life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, along with ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals.

For 95 years, Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has been an integral part of the New Rochelle community, beginning in 1929 at the Washington School Building on Union Avenue. The mission of Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle is to enable all young people, especially those who need the organization most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The organization states that it provides a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and hope and opportunity. The programs focus on the whole child, including academics, mental wellness, fitness, leadership, and civics, and many former members return as volunteers, mentors, and members of the leadership team.

The leadership team for Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle Youth Programs includes site directors at multiple clubhouses and school sites. The Mascaro Clubhouse Site Director is Will Iannuzzi, and the Remington Clubhouse Site Director is Yolanda Roberson. The organization has expanded over time by partnering with the City of New Rochelle School District to provide after-school programs as part of the 21st Century Program at Isaac E. Young Middle School, later adding programs for teens with a focus on physical fitness. In 2008, it opened its first school-based site at Trinity Elementary School and an after-school program at Ward Elementary School, and in 2013 it launched an after-school program at New Rochelle High School; it now operates programs at all New Rochelle schools as well as sites in the Mamaroneck/Larchmont school districts.
