About
ABTKids Family Programs include ABTKids, a special one-hour performance with child-friendly highlights from American Ballet Theatre’s repertoire, and an ABTKids Pre-Performance Workshop with fun, hands-on activities. Program activities include an introduction to the movement of ballet, a ballet warm-up, and learning a short piece of choreography based on a work seen during the ABTKids performance. Past workshops have included basics of stage dueling from Romeo and Juliet and a Fan Dance from Don Quixote, and ABTKids has also offered ABTKids at the Top of the Rock exploring Swan Lake and Giselle, as well as digital offerings such as ABTKids 2020: B Is for Ballet and ABTKids Daily.
