Atlantic Acting School Kids & Teens Classes and Camps

Atlantic Acting School Kids & Teens Classes and Camps offers acting classes and summer camps for young performers. The program uses an immersive, learn-by-doing approach that is central to an Atlantic Acting education. Programs for ages 4–18 offer a dynamic experience where young actors can play, create, and build lifelong friendships while developing their craft.

Founded in 1985, Atlantic has grown into both a Tony Award-winning Off-Broadway theater and the renowned Atlantic Acting School. Atlantic Theater Company has produced more than 200 plays and is celebrating 40 years of theater since its inception. The organization’s mission states that its aim is to empower simple and honest storytelling that fosters greater understanding of the shared world, and that it is dedicated to exploring essential truths onstage in both productions and classes. It notes a commitment to uncovering and celebrating the stories of varied human existence through Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning productions and community-based education programs.

Atlantic is the only acting conservatory offering in-depth training in Practical Aesthetics—the Atlantic Technique—as outlined in A Practical Handbook for the Actor, and its world-renowned conservatory program is a two-year full-time course. Its credentials include Tony Award-winning productions such as Buena Vista Social Club, Kimberly Akimbo, The Band’s Visit, Spring Awakening, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane; Pulitzer Prize recipients English and Between Riverside and Crazy; New York Drama Critics’ Circle winners The Night Alive (Best New Play) and Hangmen (Best Foreign Play); and Obie Award winners for Best New American Play Guards at the Taj and Describe the Night.
