• Ages: 4–18 years old

Atlantic Acting School was founded in 1985 and has trained and mentored artists for more than 40 years, celebrating 40 years of theater since its inception. It is the only acting conservatory offering in-depth training in Practical Aesthetics, known as the Atlantic Technique. The school’s mission states that it equips students with physical, emotional, and analytical tools of acting to discover their truths and prepares them for success beyond its doors, with a focus on empowering simple and honest storytelling that explores essential truths onstage. Atlantic Theater Company, which the school is part of, is a Tony Award-winning Off-Broadway theater with Tony Award-winning productions including Buena Vista Social Club, Kimberly Akimbo, The Band’s Visit, Spring Awakening, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane, and Pulitzer Prize recipients English and Between Riverside and Crazy, along with other recognized works such as New York Drama Critics’ Circle and Obie Award winners.

The broader organization includes leadership such as Atlantic Acting School Executive Director Mary McCann, Artistic Director Neil Pepe, Managing Director Jeffory Lawson, Director of Education & Recruitment Heather Baird, and Artistic Director of Atlantic for Kids Alison Beatty, among many additional listed staff, board members, and ensemble members.
