Basketball Stars of New York offers a wide range of basketball activities, including Spring Classes, Fall Basketball, Winter Basketball, Spring Basketball, Downtown/Brooklyn Basketball Classes, Downtown Basketball, Girls Basketball, and School Break Camps. The program also runs Saturday Hoop Academy, BBALL 101, Game ON, Birthday Parties, Private Groups, Elite Training Academy, Team Hustle (GIRLS), Spring AAU Basketball, Metro United, travel teams, personal-training sessions, skill-development camps, and shooting clinics.

The staff at Basketball Stars of New York has played basketball at the highest Division I levels and includes coaches who focus on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability. The leadership team includes Coach Jay Posser, Director and Founder of Metro United (NYC) and Co-Director of Basketball Stars of New York and the Downtown Wolves; Coach Devon Young, who starred at South Brunswick High School and played at Division II Felician University; and Abby O’Connor, a Professional Basketball Player and Mentor. Coach Jay Posser has been coaching youth sports for over 20 years and has worked for NCAA college basketball programs from 2004 to 2020. The program’s stated mission is to stand out as a premier teaching program in New York by teaching fundamental basketball skills with a high coach-to-athlete ratio and placing emphasis on skill improvement, teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, and accountability, with quality coaching and programming as its foundation.
