Pouncing Tigers Martial Arts Academy offers Karate For Kids, Martial Arts for children, Karate classes, and Karate kids programs that include strength building games, listening exercises, and Martial Arts techniques. The program also offers a Bully Prevention program that teaches physical fitness, self defense, and builds self-confidence, along with live virtual classes that students can take online and in the school and use to review or watch missed classes. Pouncing Tigers Martial Arts Academy was founded in 2007 by Instructor/Owner and Master Instructor Mr. Ken Gibson, also referred to as Martial Arts School Owner Mr. Ken Gibson, and has been teaching in the community for over a decade. Mr. Gibson started his training in Martial Arts in 1989 and has earned black belts in Hapkido and Farang Mu Sul. He has studied Russian Sambo, Filipino stick and knife fighting, Estakada, Juijitsu and American Boxing, fought professionally for a short time in the Mixed Martial Arts arena, graduated from massage school in 1993, worked as a personal trainer since 1999, completed nutrition school in 2005, and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

According to its mission statement, Pouncing Tigers, Martial Arts for children, is a combination of complementary martial arts styles and is designed to teach children that respect and learning are fun. The stated goal is to plant a seed so that a love of Martial Arts and the habits that come with it will grow with the child, and to teach the virtues of Martial Arts to develop the habit of success for all students.
