About the provider

SOCAPA was founded in Greenwich Village in 2001. Its mission statement says it is a place where young artists come to create boldly, collaborate deeply, and grow in ways that prepare them for college, creative work, and life. The program description says it is one of the premier visual and performing arts programs for high school teens, ages 14 to 18, in the world, with 18,447 happy alumni and students from 94 countries represented.

SOCAPA operates under a rolling admissions policy. Day students in Los Angeles are charged an additional Meals and Activities fee of $185 per week. Residential students are welcomed at Occidental College in Los Angeles. SOCAPA staff only do airport transfers on the first and last days of each session. Unaccompanied minor service includes an additional fee per direction.
