Youth Programs and Summer Camps at New York Film Academy New York offer youth workshops and camps that immerse students in film, media, and performing arts through hands-on projects. Participants can work in areas such as filmmaking, acting for film, producing, photography, cinematography, 3D animation and VFX, game design, documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, virtual reality, musical theatre, and entertainment media. The program also includes audio and video training, digital editing, digital journalism, audio recording and sound design, and private instruction for individuals who want to focus on specific aspects of filmmaking, performance, public speaking, or other media topics.

The programs follow New York Film Academy’s philosophy of “learning by doing,” with projects, scenes, and moments focused on the hands-on craft of film, media, and the performing arts from day one. The faculty includes professional filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, actors, performers, digital journalists, 3D animators, and visual storytellers who actively work in the entertainment industry. Youth summer camps and youth workshops are offered at the New York campus, which is the only NYFA campus that offers programs in Musical Theatre and Entertainment Media. The New York campus states a commitment to a safe environment, strong diverse leadership, inclusive decision-making, and a global community that respectfully considers other points of view.
