About
Camp Iconic & Wee Friends offers a full day camp experience that includes sports such as soccer, hockey, basketball, t-ball, softball, lacrosse, football clinics, GaGa and GaGa Ball, minigolf, volleyball, gymnastics, indoor and outdoor team sports, and water sports. Campers take part in instructional swim and free swim, arts and crafts, ceramics, woodworking, cooking, nature activities, movement, yoga, martial arts, drama, musical theatre, Glee Club, singing, dancing, musical arts, multimedia production, acting, improvisation games, and projected life size virtual interactive games and activities through the “BEAM” system. The program also features a music program with drums, piano, and percussion ensemble, as well as special events such as an annual Color War Camp Competition, Carnival, Movie Night, weekly special events and themes, and expanded arts and crafts projects under a craft pavilion.

Camp Iconic & Wee Friends began in 1978 with a focus on quality pre-school education through Wee Friends and has served thousands of children and their parents. Camp Iconic opened in 2013, and together Camp Iconic and Wee Friends have accommodated the needs of older and younger campers for over 40 years. Wee Friends focuses on quality pre-school education, while Camp Iconic provides a step-up to individualized programs focusing on the interests of an experienced camper.
The camp’s philosophy centers on the individuality of each camper, combining a structured activity schedule that encourages age-group unity and trying new things with an elective schedule that allows time for individual opportunities and personal skill development. This approach is supported by a pro-active, experienced, mature, fun and properly trained staff whose number one priority is the needs of the campers. The program states a commitment to open and honest communication with families as needed so that parents are an integral part of their child’s experience and to work toward each child’s happiness.
Well-trained athletic coaches and WSI Certified Instruction are part of the staff, and well-trained and experienced adults comprise the overall team. Directors and staff have decades of experience in the childcare and camping industries. Administrative Director Alisa Zitofsky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics and a Master of Science in Education with over 75 credits above her master’s degree, has over 40 years of teaching experience with school-age children, and has worked in and directed camp for close to 40 years.
Daily lunch and snacks are included in tuition, and tuition includes daily lunch and snack. Instructional swim and free swim are part of the daily swim routine. The program offers a Musical Theatre Program and a Music Program featuring drums, piano, and percussion ensemble for both beginner and advanced performers, and all campers learn basic acting skills through fun acting and improvisation games. Weekly special events and themes are part of the schedule, and special events include the annual Color War Camp Competition, Carnival, Movie Night, and more.
For Summer 2026 only, Camp Iconic & Wee Friends will operate as a field trip program, with a return planned for Summer 2027 to a totally remodeled building and outdoor premises with state-of-the-art renovations. There is a price break for both Summer 2026 and Summer 2027 for campers who join for the field trip next summer. Campus tours are invited.
