About
Summer Camp Guggenheim includes daily activities such as Liturgy, song practice, quiet time, Arts & Crafts, Project Adventure, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Campers take part in waterfront activities like beach time, swimming, water volleyball, and using kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats, as well as sports such as soccer, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, and basketball. The program also offers climbing an Adirondack Peak, exploring Lower Saranac Lake in kayaks, dancing, rappelling, an overnight camping excursion, creative adventure games, the Guggenheim Olympics, campfires, a variety show, a dance, and special liturgies including a Reconciliation service and celebration of Mass, with laughter, song, prayer, and friendship as part of camp life.

• Schedule: Five summer sessions, each running from a stated start date to a stated end date between July 5 and August 7, with hours listed as 8:15am to 4:00pm and summer hours listed as 8:15am to 3:30pm
Since 1972, young people have called Guggenheim “home away from home.” Camp Guggenheim is a Diocesan Youth Ministry Department program in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogdensburg. The mission of Camp Guggenheim states that it seeks to be a source of hospitality, vitality, and evangelization in the life of the Young Church of today, with programs built around the celebration of liturgy and designed to enable young people to build community as they grow in faith. The mission also states that creativity, fun, wholesome adventure, and a sense of each individual's giftedness are cultivated in an environment where safety is a priority, and that staff members strive to teach by example as they “walk with” young people, welcoming them to participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic Church. All waterfront activities occur under the watchful eye of American Red Cross certified lifeguards, and American Red Cross certified lifeguards supervise all waterfront activities.
