Camp Wilbur Herrlich

Camp Wilbur Herrlich offers a wide range of activities, including animal interactions, archery, arts and crafts, baseball, basketball, boating, fishing, soccer, volleyball, and water games at the waterfront. Campers can take part in dodgeball, gaga, kickball, Color War, Color Run, a carnival, DJ parties, evening activities, talent shows, fashion shows, face paint, and weekly theme events. Additional options include high ropes, swing crossing, a swingset, a water trampoline on the pond, gardening, nature and pond ecology activities, cooking, music, dance and theater, journalism and design, group shots, a canteen, a Magic Forest, and various kids and staff fun and games.

Camp Wilbur Herrlich runs sleepaway camp, summer day camp, LIT day camp, vacation camp, outdoor education programs, school age child care, before and after school programs, conferences and retreats, and clubs. Camp Herrlich has over 100 years of providing programming for children and families. The mission of Camp Wilbur Herrlich is to operate a dynamic learning and leadership center for all ages by providing positive recreational and educational programs to optimize personal and spiritual growth, and foster cultural harmony to enrich communities and quality of life. Its school age child care programs are described as award winning. People participate in Camp Herrlich programs from the Carmel, Patterson, and Brewster area, the five boroughs of New York City, retreat groups from Long Island, and outdoor education groups from various places. The program offers customizable 1 through 5 day outdoor education programs and rolling admission for before and after school programs.
