Carmel United Soccer Club

Carmel United Soccer Club offers the Carmel United Recreational Program for ages 3 through 13, the Carmel United Travel Program for ages 8 through HS, and Carmel United Academy for players currently registered on a Carmel United Travel team. It also offers Coerver Camp, Forward Soccer Camp, and Play Like the Stars camp.

• Carmel United Academy — Supplemental professional training for players currently registered on a Carmel United Travel team.
• Coerver Camp — Ages 4-15 · Summer camp at Patterson Veterans Memorial Town Park. Coerver New York fully administers this camp.
• Forward Soccer Camp — Summer camp at Patterson Veterans Memorial Town Park. Forward Soccer fully administers this camp.
• Play Like the Stars camp — players 6-14 years old · Half Day: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Patterson Veterans Memorial Town Park.

About the provider

Carmel United Soccer Club was founded in 1980. It is a volunteer-run, community-based, not-for-profit organization providing developmental soccer programs for children residing predominantly within the Carmel Central School District footprint. The club’s leadership team includes President and Travel Program Director Joe Matera, Vice President and Inhouse Program Director Barbara Ferreira, Vice President Phil Larkin, Treasurer (interim) Jennifer Wiener, Head Coach, U8-U12 Marc Gard, and Head Coach, U13-U19 & Academy Director Vasiliy Shevelchinsky.

The club is not a school or town-sponsored program. Board members are volunteers and are not compensated. The Board of Directors meets on the 4th Monday of each month via Zoom. Carmel United Academy requires players to be currently registered on a Carmel United Travel team.
