The Montessori School in Pelham Manor offers activities in geography, math, art, music, science, language, yoga, yoga/mindfulness, and practical life skills. The Montessori School in Pelham Manor has been in operation for well over five decades, was established in 1973 in New Rochelle, and moved to its current location in 1992. The school describes itself as a welcoming, close-knit community with deep roots and long-held traditions, including an “Annual Tea with Your Special Person,” and it has students from different generations of the same families. The team of educators is described as knowledgeable, caring, and devoted professionals who meet each child where they are, cater to their learning needs, and act as facilitators for students to gain independence. The school states that students develop at their own pace, become mindful global citizens who care about the environment, and that graduates are graceful, courteous, respectful, curious individuals who continue their education in highly competitive public and private schools and play important roles in society.
