Island Rock Youth Programs include activities such as belaying, climbing, bouldering, and top roping. The programs also offer personal climbing training, personal fitness training, Ninja+Fitness sessions, staff belay options where instructors do all rope work and knot tying, and birthday parties described as “The Best Birthday Party on Long Island.”
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: General facility and gym hours available every day, with special holiday closures and limited hours on Christmas Eve
Island Rock Youth Programs take place at Island Rock, which has 14,000 square feet of climbing surface, state-of-the-art training boards, and a Ninja+Fitness area built by World Ninja Sport. Island Rock has been leading Long Island's climbing community for over 28 years and first opened in 1996, with an expansion in 2017 that almost doubled the climbing area. The leadership team includes Ross (General Manager), Eric (Director of Routesetting), Xavier (Youth Program Director), Kimberly (Manager), James (Manager), and Summer (Routesetter). Island Rock is dedicated to serving Long Island's climbing community and believes in creating an open and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. Group rates are available for groups of 8 or more, and membership options are available.
