SOULSHINE Art Studio

SOULSHINE Art Studio offers art classes for children and adults, along with workshops, art camp, birthday parties, ladies nights, Girl Scout troop events, book clubs, creative nights, retreats, and walk-in creative activities. The studio also offers monthly creative spiritual circles and a free art workshop for children, and has artwork and paintings for sale in the shop, including inspirational art.

SOULSHINE Art Studio is owned by Dvora Troshane (also known as Dara Troshane). The studio’s mission states that it is dedicated to providing a space for children and adults to dream, be inspired and create art that makes their soul shine bright with a happy heart filled with love. Paint, glass, wood, paper, gold leaf, markers, words and embellishments are kept on the studio’s shelves, along with music.

Fifteen years before this description, the owner became a founding board member and the Art Director of Discover The Smile Foundation, a not-for-profit benefitting children’s hospitals that has custom designed and created children’s art galleries for New York hospitals including Schneider’s, North Shore-LIJ, Good Samaritan’s and NYU Medical Center. Community involvement also includes serving on the board of The Gratitude House and Residents Forward, organizing a free art workshop for children in the mountains of Chefchaouen, Morocco, and organizing art and wellness retreats for women in the United States, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, France and Greece, as well as family retreats and workshops for mothers and daughters. Monthly creative spiritual circles are hosted in a home studio in a cottage on the water in Oyster Bay Cove, New York.
