Future Stars Summer Camp offers 30+ programs across 10 New York locations and uses a flexible week-by-week enrollment structure. Programs are tailored for ages 2–18 and follow STARS values: Safety, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility, and Sportsmanship. The camp maintains a low staff-to-camper ratio, usually 1 staff member for every 4–8 campers. Most locations provide early drop-off and extended day programs with supervised activities before and after camp, and select locations offer door-to-door transportation for eligible families.

At Future Stars, staff includes professional educators, experienced athletes, collegiate coaches, and dedicated mentors. For over 45 years, families have turned to Future Stars, which was started in 1980 by Charlie VanDercook; Bill Griffin joined as partner in 1995. The mission of Future Stars is to give every child a summer they will not forget, one filled with growth, joy, and belonging. Daily essentials for campers include a water bottle, sunscreen, lunch or snacks (or a lunch plan if available), swimwear, a towel, and athletic wear.

Parents have shared that the staff’s enthusiasm stands out and that their children came home smiling and eager to talk about what they learned. Some parents describe Future Stars as more than just a camp and note a balance of skill development and fun. Others say it was the highlight of their kids’ summer, mention that their children felt welcomed and safe from the first day, and appreciate the week-to-week format that allowed their children to try activities such as circus, diving, and tennis.
