Ramapo for Children

Ramapo for Children offers Camp Ramapo, a residential summer camp for children and youth with diverse abilities and diverse needs, with a nearly one-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio. It also offers Ramapo Day Camp, which includes swimming, hiking, cooking, and performing arts, and Camp Ramapo Residential Programs, an inclusive residential environment for children and teens of all abilities.

Programs

• Camp Ramapo — 6 to 16 · A residential summer camp for children and youth with diverse abilities / diverse needs. Nearly one-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio.
• Camp Ramapo Residential Programs — Inclusive residential environment purposefully designed for children and teens of all abilities.
• Ramapo Day Camp — 5 to 15 · An enriching summer day program with activities such as swimming, hiking, cooking, and performing arts.
• Camp Ramapo's Alumni Week — 16 to 29 · A week-long session in late August for neurodiverse campers in a highly structured and supportive environment.

About the provider

Ramapo for Children has over a century of experience serving young people and the adults in their lives. Ramapo's work is built on the belief that all young people want the same things: to learn, to feel valued, and to experience success. Camp Ramapo is accredited by the American Camping Association and is licensed to operate by the Dutchess County Department of Health.

Camp Ramapo serves young people affected by social, emotional, or learning challenges, including those on the autism spectrum. It offers a therapeutic, nurturing, inclusive experience and a nearly one-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio. Camp Ramapo’s top priority is the physical and emotional safety of all children in its care.
