Brighton Junior Bruins Football and Cheerleading offers football, flag football, and cheerleading. The program includes options for both boys and girls in grades K–7. Coaches in the program bring years of experience to the field.

In 2008, youth football and cheerleading returned to Brighton for the first time in more than 20 years through Brighton Junior Bruins Football and Cheerleading. The program’s stated goal is to teach the fundamentals of each sport, promote sportsmanship and teamwork, and encourage each child's personal development. Brighton Junior Bruins is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization. It is a member of Rochester Youth Football & Cheerleading (RYFC), an independent youth football and cheerleading league based in the Greater Rochester, NY area. The organization states that, with the guidance of its coaches, each child will develop football or cheerleading skills, have fun, and make new friends. The program also states that it is striving to become an integral part of its community.
