The organization serves communities from Mount Sinai to Wading River and greater Suffolk County, and it is funded in part by the Town of Brookhaven, the County of Suffolk, the State of New York, the North Shore Consortium, and public and private donations.

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is open. If a child needs to begin for the first day of school, the deadline to register is Sunday, August 23rd. Staff are fingerprinted, background checked, trained, and experienced in working with children. Parent/guardians must read and acknowledge the Parent/Guardian Handbook before enrolling.
