About

North Shore Youth Council Youth Programs are part of North Shore Youth Council’s evidence-based youth and family programs and services in child care, enrichment, prevention, education, counseling, and recreation. The programs are connected through a “life cycle” model that engages children and teens at every age and links families to a wider range of services. Youth who have been supported by North Shore Youth Council often return as counselors, mentors, and staff in these programs.

• Schedule: Main office hours are Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm.

For over 40 years, North Shore Youth Council has dedicated itself to providing North Shore communities with comprehensive, evidence-based youth and family programs and services in child care, enrichment, prevention, education, counseling, and recreation. North Shore Youth Council is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community-based organization, funded in part by the Town of Brookhaven, the County of Suffolk, the State of New York, the North Shore Consortium, and public and private donations. North Shore Youth Council operates the Robert E. Reid, Sr. Recreation Center in partnership with the Town of Brookhaven, and the Heritage Center offers youth and family events, health and wellness programs, community recreation, private rentals, park stewardship, and year-round Foodie Fridays.
