STEAM Programs at Westchester Children’s Museum features fun educational hands-on exhibits, crafts, workshops, creative crafts, and immersive play. The program follows a curated schedule of workshops, creative crafts, and immersive play as part of a STEAM drop-off program.
• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: Four week-long sessions with Monday–Friday options in morning and afternoon
Each session runs Monday through Friday with a Morning Session from 9:30am to 12:30pm and an Afternoon Session from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The museum describes itself as a vibrant, interactive learning space that focuses on creative hands-on exploration and is open every day from 9:30am to 5:30pm. The mission of Westchester Children’s Museum is to be imagination through creative hands-on exploration and to broaden knowledge of the arts and sciences, the environment, multiculturalism, and local and global communities in an educational and recreational atmosphere.
The leadership team includes Executive Director Jeremy Scalchunes, manager Esther, and Play Workers Alexander and Emily. The museum states that it is a barrier-free, safe, welcoming, and vibrant gathering space with multiple points of entry for children of different ages, backgrounds, learning styles, and physical abilities, and that it serves as a safe gathering space for all members of a diverse community.
