The AIM After School Program includes time on the playground, music exploration, art classes, and sports programs. Activities are coordinated with the consideration of each participant’s interests. Once application and paperwork are received, the participant begins the After School Program on a trial basis.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday from 2:00pm–5:00pm during the academic school year
Participants’ medical or dietary precautions and adaptive equipment needs, including for transportation, must be provided in the application. The After School Program is a Waiver Service available to individuals with developmental disabilities in grades K–12. The program follows the calendar of the Saratoga School District but accepts participants outside of that district if able to. Staff may assist with transporting participants from their school to the Saratoga STRIVE location, and transportation is not provided on half days, when drop off time can be arranged at the Saratoga STRIVE location. A calendar of closure dates is sent out by email, and in the event of a closure due to inclement weather an email is sent. Participants are always shown in a positive and uplifting way in media, and last names or personal contact information are never shared.
