Saugerties Ballet Center Camps and Classes offers Summer Classes in ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern/jazz, tap, childrens’ ballet, adult ballet, yoga, creative movement, and a Summer Pointe Intensive. The program also offers Summer Dance Camp, a Summer Dance Intensive, Camp for the Little Ones, Little Ones Camps, crafts, games, Judith’s Adult Ballet, and Dance With Me, a caregiver/child class for 2–3 year olds.
• Ages: 2–14 years old
• Schedule: Summer Dance Camp and Summer Dance Intensive run July 14–17, 2025, from 9:00am–3:00pm; Camp for the Little Ones 1 runs August 4–8, 2025, 9:00am–12:00pm; Camp for the Little Ones 2 runs August 11–15, 2025, 9:00am–12:00pm; Summer Pointe Intensives run Monday–Friday from 10:00am–1:30pm; Judith’s Adult Ballet runs in an ongoing 4-week session July 21–August 15; open hours are Monday–Friday 4:00pm–9:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am–3:00pm.
• Price: Summer Dance Camp and Summer Dance Intensive are $200 each; Camp for the Little Ones 1 and 2 are $180 each; discounts are offered for families enrolling multiple children and for students enrolling in multiple weeks of Dance Camp and Dance Intensive.
The mission of Saugerties Ballet Center Camps and Classes includes joy of movement, poise, self discipline, creativity, a healthy mind esteem, and body as foundations for every child’s life. The Summer Pointe Intensive is described as a special program for students to build pointe technique and skills and as an ideal springboard for a strong foundation leading to the coming fall line-up of classes, with a minimum enrollment of 6 and a maximum of 12 students, and all Summer Classes require a minimum enrollment of 6 students. Parents are invited on Thursday for a short demonstration during Summer Dance Camp, and on Friday for short demonstrations at Camp for the Little Ones 1 and Camp for the Little Ones 2, highlighting what was taught during each camp. Students are invited to perform with the campers at the Stallions game in Saugerties on Thursday, July 17, as part of the Summer Dance Intensive. The leadership team includes Scarlett, Justine, and the staff of Saugerties Ballet Center, with instructors mentioned by name including Miss Justine, Marin Musgrave (Miss Marin), and Judith for Judith’s Adult Ballet.
