School of Rock Sayville

School of Rock Sayville offers performance-based music education that includes one-on-one private music lessons, group music lessons, and group rehearsals. Students learn to play classic rock songs while working on fundamentals such as chords, rhythm, song structure, melody, and dynamics, including through play. Younger students use simplified rock instruments, hand percussion, and other tools to learn rhythm patterns and music syntax, and more advanced students can gain gigging band experience and perform live shows at local music venues.

• Schedule: Class and lesson options Monday–Thursday afternoons and evenings, plus Saturday morning and early afternoon

The program’s mission statement is “We build a community that fosters personal growth.” Students in the House Band program, which is for those under 18, perform live shows at New York rock venues throughout the year and take part in frequent live performances in the community. School of Rock, the larger organization, has over 385 locations in 16 countries and more than 65,000 students worldwide, and it has been ranked #1 in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 list and named a 2026 Top Franchise. One parent, Yessim P, describes their kids “actually making music and learning to play as a band” and notes that the performances are “so impressive.”
