About
Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center includes daily Chapel and Vesper services, skits, songs, prayer, and singing grace before each meal. Campers take part in Leave No Trace activities, environmental education, and team building activities. The program offers opportunities to gather with a Spiritual Life Coordinator and other campers who want to learn more about spirituality, and campers do not bring cell phones to camp.

Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center is a Christian camp owned and operated since 1947 by the New York Conference of The United Methodist Church and is spiritually and physically grounded upon the five rocks of Courage, Love, Faith, Humility, and Honesty. Its mission statement says that God gave earth and humankind, and that it is the job of loving faithful Christians to love and care for each of these, and that the hope is that each camper will grow in new experiences and in their spiritual walk with God. The New York Annual Conference Camping & Retreat Ministry Board of Directors shares an inclusivity statement welcoming and fully accepting all persons identifying as LGBTQIA+ into the life, ministry, and activities of the camp and its sister campsite, Kingswood, and states that all are welcome and that the community is open and affirming to all who come, regardless of religious affiliation. Quinipet is licensed by the New York State Department of Health. The leadership team includes Executive Director Brooke Bradley, Property Manager AJ Nitsch, Food Service Manager Reggie Johnson, Program Director Shauna D'Arcy, and Retreat and Outreach Coordinator Vernessa Kingsbury. The program seeds and grows plants for pollinators, utilizes Leave No Trace activities, reduces and replaces lawns with native grasses, and weaves environmental education into its program.
