The Perlman Music Program

The Perlman Music Program offers Summer Music School for gifted violin, viola, and cello students ages 12 to 18. It also offers Chamber Music Workshop for ages 18 and up, Travel Residencies, Alumni Programs and Mentorship, and Signature Events.

About the provider

The Perlman Music Program was founded by Toby Perlman in 1994. Its mission is to offer musical training to young string players of rare and special talent and to make that opportunity available regardless of economic background or financial means. The program also emphasizes a nurturing and supportive community, connection over competition, and students exploring, taking risks, and developing at their own pace. Students collaborate, support each other, and contribute to camp life, and PMP says it is a worldwide family of more than 800 alumni.
