Deerkill Day Camp is a premier summer day camp for boys and girls that offers professional instruction in swimming, athletics, arts, and specialty programs. The camp uses pristine facilities with manicured fields for its activities, and each group is led by an adult. Deerkill Day Camp was founded in 1958 as Deerkill (Dutch for “deer stream”) Park Day Camp and has been family owned and operated since 1958. It is still owned and directed by the Rhodes/Rothman family after six decades and three generations. The staff is hand selected by the Directors, and each group is led by an adult. The camp’s stated focus is providing a safe environment in which children can forge new friendships and develop new skills. Deerkill Day Camp serves New York City, Hoboken, Port Imperial, Jersey City and Bergen, Rockland, Orange, Westchester and Essex Counties.
