About
RCC Summer Youth Programs offers activities in science, computers, art, volleyball, esports, and cooking. The programs include a culinary option where children learn kitchen and cooking basics, use of kitchen equipment, proper sanitation, and knife skills. Kids College focuses on STEAM activities for children interested in science, computers, and art, while Specialty Sports Camp focuses on volleyball and esports, and there is also a culinary program for children who enjoy cooking.

For over 40 years, the mission of Rockland Community College’s Summer Program has been to provide young people with a safe, fun and engaging environment. The programs use the College’s facilities and equipment, which are described as incredible, and operate within a safe and family environment supported by full-time Public Safety. Kids College and Specialty Sports Camp programs include free early drop off and late pick up and offer flexible scheduling. Rockland Community College is fully committed to creating a diverse and equitable environment for all students.
In 2025, the College was selected for the fifth consecutive year as a Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award winner from INSIGHT Into Academia magazine, and it is designated by the U.S. Department of Education as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). Testimonials from RCC students describe their experiences with the College, including preparation for future goals, the value of the education, and support from advisors.
