Common Ground Farm Education Programs offers Field Trips to Common Ground Farm for Pre-K through 5th grade. It also offers Farmer in the Classroom for Pre-K through 2nd grade, with a classroom visit that includes a topic related to farming and a hands-on project such as Seeds, Parts of a Plant, Plant Life Cycles, or Needs of a Plant. Chef in the Classroom is available for Pre-K through 5th grade and includes a classroom visit where students prepare a dish together while learning about a seasonal vegetable, how to follow a recipe, nutrition basics, and cooking skills.

Common Ground works to ensure that all of its education programs are accessible, regardless of income. Field trips to the farm can accommodate groups up to 45 for programs that include a barn visit, and up to 70 students for programs that include either soil exploration or invasive species. Visits to the classroom can accommodate three classes per block of time scheduled. The Hudson Valley Farmers’ Market Academy series is scheduled from 2026-06-16 to 2026-08-18.
