About
Happy Hours Children's Center offers summer camp, school-age care with transportation to all Wappingers Falls Elementary Schools, and field trips with chartered bus transportation. The program also provides on-site developmental evaluations through a partnership with Astor Early Childhood Programs. Children have access to two fenced-in play yards and an inground wading pool, and two healthy snacks are provided daily.

Happy Hours Children's Center was established in 1985 and has provided child care services since 1985. The center is owner-operated and follows its own personal philosophy and curriculum, with an enriched pre-kindergarten program and a quality, age-appropriate curriculum with hands-on learning. The building is warm and aesthetically designed to offer a home-like setting and represent a child-oriented educational facility, with soft lighting and colors, furniture set up to create cozy spaces, and materials displayed so children can choose and follow their interests. The program includes five classrooms designed to focus on differing ages and developmental needs, with classroom sizes that are small, less overwhelming, and more intimate. Staff-to-child ratios meet or surpass New York State standards, and staff are able to work with children as individuals rather than as an entire group. The center offers flexible scheduling with drop-in service available, generous sibling discounts, and is located across the street from Fishkill Plains Elementary School.
New York State Certified Teachers work at Happy Hours Children's Center, and staff are trained in CPR and First Aid. The mission of the program is to focus on providing each child the caring, attentive, individualized care and age-appropriate interactive activities they need to be happy, healthy, and well-socialized. The facility is New York State Department of Social Services Licensed, regulated by the Dutchess County Department of Health, and is a fully licensed facility. It is a member of the Child Care Council of Dutchess & Putnam, the Mid-Hudson Infant/Toddler Coalition, and the BBB. The program has a long-term invested interest in the community and its families and proudly serves Wappingers Falls, Hopewell Junction, Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, and surrounding areas.
