Academy of Theatre Arts Classes

Academy of Theatre Arts Classes offers a Fundamentals of Theatre class and an Intermediate Theatre class where students work on acting technique, learn dances, and perfect songs for their shows. Students in these classes perform in productions of Little Mermaid, Jr. and Seussical, Jr. Fundamentals of Theatre takes the next step in musical theatre for students by adding more complex blocking, dance, and song selections, and Intermediate Theatre is for performers 9 to 14 to build on previous skills.

• Ages: 9–14 years old
• Schedule: Weekly 90-minute classes with Fundamentals of Theatre and Intermediate Theatre offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays
• Price: A $55 per student / $75 per family registration fee is due upon registration and is non-refundable and nontransferable.

Registration for the 2026-2027 season opens May 15th. Families looking for a more intensive theatre experience are directed to audition-only companies. Academy Kids! and Academy Performance Group perform a full length musical in the spring in addition to two school showcases, and the high-school group Academy Encore Ensemble produces two full length musicals per season.
