Dianna Durkin Dance Studio offers dance classes that focus on movement skills, musicality, creativity, and responsive listening. The studio’s approach includes disciplined dance training and a strong foundation in dance for students of different ages and abilities.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Thursday afternoons and evenings, and Saturday mornings to early afternoons
Dianna Durkin Dance Studio has been serving the Green/Akron community since 1960. The studio’s mission includes highlighting the benefits of dance for health, well-being, and confidence, and encouraging a positive relationship with one’s body. The program emphasizes respect for teachers and peers, collaboration, community engagement, and lifelong qualities such as responsibility, integrity, leadership, and discipline.
Dianna Durkin Dance Studio is a member of the National Dance Education Organization, Youth Protection Advocates in Dance, Dance Masters of Ohio, and Dance Masters of America. The studio invites families to be a part of what it describes as Green’s most trusted dance studio.
Parents and former students describe their experiences at Dianna Durkin Dance Studio as including collaboration, teamwork, responsibility, determination, and self-confidence, along with lasting friendships and memories. One former student and current parent notes that the studio has been part of her life since age 2 and that her two daughters now dance there as well.
