Akron Area YMCA Youth Programs and Camps

Akron Area YMCA Youth Programs and Camps include Summer Day Camp and Summer Camp, a Youth Sports Program, and Before & After School Enrichment. The program also offers swim lessons for kids and adults, lap swim, family swim, aqua aerobics classes, group fitness classes such as Toning, Zumba, and Boot Camp, and Child Watch. Many branches and child care locations, as well as Camp Y-Noah in The City of Green, offer themed weeks that are described as jammed packed with fun, adventure, and learning.

• Schedule: Firestone Park YMCA branch hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with Sunday closed; Firestone Park YMCA Child Watch hours are Monday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday closed, Wednesday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Thursday through Sunday closed.

The Akron Area YMCA states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Since 1870, the Akron Area YMCA has been described as a strong place to launch and a safe place to land for generations of individuals and families and as a cornerstone to the foundation of Northeast Ohio. Several branches are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for members ages 18 and older and feature state-of-the-art fitness equipment including cardio centers, strength training, spin studios, and free weights.
