Akron Area YMCA Youth Programs and Camps include Summer Day Camp and Summer Camp, a Youth Sports Program, and Before & After School Enrichment. The program also offers swim lessons for kids and adults, lap swim, family swim, aqua aerobics classes, group fitness classes such as Toning, Zumba, and Boot Camp, and Child Watch. Many branches and child care locations, as well as Camp Y-Noah in The City of Green, offer themed weeks that are described as jammed packed with fun, adventure, and learning.

The Akron Area YMCA states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
