Columbus Gymnastics Academy has been on the gymnastics scene since 1980, and for over 40 years its teachers have taken a child-centered, education-focused approach to teaching gymnastics training foundations. It provides a safe, positive environment and a safe, fun environment, and follows various COVID-19 procedures, best practices, and mandates from Franklin County Public Health and the CDC. CGA is open for in-person recreational classes, masks are optional for all spectators and athletes at this time, and there is a make up class option if anyone in the family feels ill. Columbus Gymnastics Academy welcomes students from Franklin and Fairfield counties and beyond.
Their competitive team, Starz, has participated in USAG girls gymnastics competitions since 2012, and they also have a competitive Trampoline and Tumbling team that competes within USTA. According to one parent, “We’ve been with Columbus Gymnastics Academy for the past 2 years. My daughter absolutely loves her class. The price is fair and they take the time to work with each child.” Another parent shared, “CGA has a fantastic program for competitive gymnasts. The coaches are fun, yet tough. They care more about your gymnast than they do about trophies, which is rare and greatly appreciated. The regular staff is kind and helpful.” Other parents describe their children enjoying beginner classes, having teachers who take individual time with students, and experiencing staff they describe as caring, attentive, and helpful.
